Eric's Theory on the Murder of Biggie Smalls

Biggie and Puff were driving from a party in Los Angeles when a car pulled up and fired four shots at B.I.G in the early hours of March 9th, 1997. The late rapper was dead on arrival at the hospital. It really came as a shock to me when I saw on MTV that BIG had been killed. Now two of hip-hop's best rappers are dead... I definitely think this murder was a direct result of the east coast vs. west coast fued that was still hot at the time of Biggie's death. 2Pac was dissin' Bad Boy on so many tracks and he was involving too many people. I realize that 2Pac had his reasons for not liking Bad Boy, but he took that way too far and this is the result. Although I think BIG's death was in retaliation to 2Pac's shooting, I doubt that the killers were connected to 2Pac or Death Row in any way. I bet it was just some thugs thinking that they were evening the score. Whoever killed Biggie Smalls is a coward who took the life of one of the greatest rappers on Earth. Finally, the east coast vs. west coast fued has died down today. But, did Biggie Smalls have to be killed for people to realize the consequences? It really is a shame. R.I.P. Christopher Wallace.

RIP Biggie Smalls

At first, I couldn't help but see a few similarites between BIG's death and 2Pac's death. Both artists had a album dropping with a strange title (Life After Death) at the time of their death. That raises eyebrows because a shooting and especially a murder is going to increase record sales dramatically. Like BIG said, "you're no-one 'til somebody kills you". However, now I see that the murders of Biggie and 2Pac couldn't be any more different. And for the record, we all know that Biggie was already somebody before someone killed him. If you've been to my 2Pac site, you know that I have a ton of questions that can't be answered about 2Pac's death. In the case of BIG, there's no mystery. Everything was legit. Brooklyn was mobbed with people during BIG's public funeral as the hearse drove through the streets and later a private open casket funeral was held for family and friends. So, in the case of Biggie, there aren't any conspiracy theories floating around. What's a shame is that again, just like in the case of 2Pac's "murder", nothing has been done by the police. Both rappers were shot and killed out in the open and the police can't convict anyone? I don't see how that's possible.

More on the differences between Biggie's death and 2Pac's death ... You see how Bad Boy records is doing all this special stuff for Biggie Smalls... One example is the tribute album to Biggie Smalls with the song "Missing You". Profits from that are going to Biggie Smalls daughter who is shown in the video of "Missing You". Death Row Records hasn't done all that stuff... In fact, Death Row Records at first was getting all the profits until 2Pac's mom sued them. Well, I'm not going to get into the 2Pac conspiracy anymore ... You can check out my theory on 2Pac's death if you want to read it.

Well, in conclusion I think what Bad Boy Records is doing for Biggie Smalls is great. He's missed by everyone and will never be replaced. I wish Biggie Smalls to rest in peace ... We'll Be Missing You.
