So, the general manager that lead the Sox to three consecutive post seasons is back on the staff. Now all the Red Sox have to do is get back all the players they traded away and they'll be ready to win another world series! I just don't understand the business behind baseball. The Red Sox finally win a world series ... Now, after only 1 season, almost the entire team is gone! For non-pitchers, they kept Nixon, Veritek, Ortiz, and Ramirez (for now). That's all that's left now! What are they doing!? Two years ago they made trades to get a better defensive infield ... Now, they have NOBODY left in that infield. Even the little guys, like Mirabelli, who was the best back-up catcher in the league, has been traded, which I never even heard about it until I went to the Red Sox web site and looked at who's still on the roster. Meanwhile, the Yankees still have everyone and more but something tells me that they still won't win the world series next year. And - despite all of the Red Sox's offseason screwups, they'll be battling the Yankees until the end just like every year.
