I don't know why the media made such a big deal about Alex Rodriguez saying that 'This is our year' for the New York Yankees. No shit, it should be your year! It should've been your year for the past 5 seasons with a lineup like that. The Yankees offense is basicaly an all star team in itself. Every year they buy the best players out there ... From the first batter to the last batter, the pitcher never gets a break - every batter is a threat.

But notice what I haven't meantioned ... Pitching. I don't understand why the Yankees didn't do anything with their pitching on the offseason. They've got the best closer in the game (unless he's facing the red sox) but they're putting too much faith in Randy Johnson, again. As a Sox fan, I'm pretty dissapointed with Boston's offseason but at least they're in good shape w/ pitching. Because of that - I think next season will be another close one between the Sox and Yanks. Not to menton the battle either team will face once they actually make it into the playoffs. I can't wait.
