Ken Griffey Jr. is one of the best baseball players in the 90's. In 1990, he became the first player to ever play with his father.

Griffey was born George Kenneth Griffey, Jr., in Donora, Pennsylvania. He was drafted by Seattle right out of high school. He was the first round draft pick. He earned a place on the Mariners' major league roster in 1989.

Griffey is regarded as one of baseball's greatest talents, becoming noted for his fielding and batting abilities. He earned six consecutive Gold Glove Awards (1990-1995) as one of the AL's best defensive outfielders. In 1993 Griffey established an AL record for outfielders after 542 consecutive fielding chances without committing an error. He was selected to six consecutive AL All-Star teams (1990-1995). His three hits, including a home run, earned him the most valuable player (MVP) award in the 1992 All-Star game, duplicating his father's home run and All-Star MVP honors in 1980, when Griffey, Sr., was a member of the National League (NL) All-Star team. Griffey's most notable batting feat occurred over the course of eight consecutive games (July 20-28, 1993), when he hit a home run in each game and tied the AL and major league records for most consecutive games with a home run.
